Ms Roza Faunce   Roza

PHD CANDIDATE SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS, CINEMA, CLASSICS AND ARCHAEOLOGY & THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT, THE UNIVERSITY OF MELBOURNE
Roza Faunce's doctoral thesis on illuminated late medieval treaties concerning the subject of vice and virtue seeks to analysize the textual narratives and their visual representation. The linkages between the manuscript, as a cultural artefact in itself, and its social relations is also an important consideration. A cross disciplinary approach has helped identify a diversity of comparative material useful in hypothesizing contextual frameworks.
